CONFERENCE AGENDA

JUNE 24, 2026

Today’s dynamic compliance and risk environment is characterized by volatility, uncertainty, constrained resources, and accelerating change. Increasingly, decisions are being made in real time, before governance frameworks, stakeholder alignment, or regulatory expectations are fully settled. In this environment, compliance and risk leaders are expected to preserve integrity, influence outcomes, and sustain trust while advancing objectives or execution methods they may not fully understand or endorse.

This session will focus on practical approaches to strengthen real-time judgment, lead with stability and agility, and combine adaptive solutions with consistent risk-based principles. We’ll examine how leaders operate at the intersection of discipline and innovation, managing risk through collaboration, creativity, and transparency.

We will also discuss the human side of leadership – how to maintain emotional stability when decisions are difficult or personally challenging for you or members of your team. By connecting the realities of today’s challenges with the capabilities required for tomorrow, this session offers a focused lens on how leaders can build credibility, sustain performance, and position themselves, their teams, and their partners for what lies ahead.

In this session you will learn how to:

· Reset priorities, assumptions, and risk tolerances when they fall out of alignment under pressure,

· Model behavior that motivates and guides teams forward through uncertainty and difficult conditions, and

· Navigate difficult tradeoffs with transparency and disciplined decision-making that balances competing priorities and supports the financial institution’s risk posture.

In today’s unpredictable environment driven by technological disruption, global conflict and regulatory uncertainty, compliance and risk functions are being called upon to lead in new ways.  As external pressures evolve, the responsibility for upholding principled standards and sound decision-making increasingly rests within the organization itself.

This session explores how compliance and risk teams can serve as the strategic moral compass, guiding their financial institution through volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA). Moving beyond a mindset of regulatory fear, this session will examine how leading institutions are building cultures rooted in both high performance and high trust.

Participants will gain valuable insights on how to influence organizational behavior, strengthen ethical decision-making, and position compliance and risk management as drivers of resilience, accountability, and long-term success.

In this session you will learn how to:

In today’s complex financial services environment, compliance and risk professionals are expected to drive meaningful change without formal authority over their business partners. Success no longer comes from reciting regulations or threatening exam findings, but from the ability to influence decisions, shape outcomes, and build alignment across the organization.

This session focuses on the mechanics of “influence” – where it comes from, how it’s built, and how it’s applied in real-world scenarios. Influence is a learnable skill and an essential currency of collaboration. We will explore how leaders can elevate their impact by leveraging a persuasion framework that allows others to feel engaged, understood and aligned.  Attendees will leave equipped to elevate their impact as valued collaborators, integral to driving progress and achieving shared goals.

In this session you will learn how to:

Crisis reshapes everything. What distinguishes effective leaders is the preparation, determination, and courage to create clarity, maintain momentum, and make sound decisions when the path forward is anything but obvious. As conditions deteriorate and uncertainty accelerates, assumptions about risk, controls and decision-making are tested in real time. Nowhere was this more evident than during the 2008 financial crisis, an era that exposed not just systemic vulnerabilities, but the consequences of misaligned risk tolerance and delayed action.

This session explores what it truly means to lead through uncertainty, and the opportunity it presents for compliance and risk professionals to rise to the occasion. Drawing on experiences from past crises and periods of sustained disruption, we will examine how successful leaders balance competing priorities, adapt their approach to risk, and keep their teams aligned and engaged under pressure. The conversation will also address the mindset, discipline and judgment required to lead when it matters most.

In this session, you will learn how to:

· Apply lessons from past crises to identify patterns and practices that were obvious in hindsight, from documentation breakdowns, sales pressures, and behaviors that had normalized over time,

· Recalibrate risk in real time to support and influence executive decisions amid uncertainty and competing priorities, and

· Lead with conviction and accountability when the path forward is unclear and the stakes are high.

In today’s environment, success in risk and compliance requires more than technical expertise.  The ability to communicate with clarity, influence decisions and drive tangible impact sets top performers apart.  High-impact professionals adapt their message to their audience, spark meaningful conversations, and engage business partners and key stakeholders to ensure risk is managed effectively while advancing business goals.

Nowhere does communication matter more than at the board, where time is limited and every moment counts.  Yet too often, board updates are reduced to a unilateral presentation of dense, repetitive slides that invite neither challenge nor discussion. Silence at the end of a board presentation isn’t a sign of alignment, it’s a missed opportunity.

This session will help you to rethink how and when you communicate with business partners and the board.  Gain practical techniques to intentionally construct decision pathways, highlight critical stakes, and present options and trade-offs that drive informed risk management. By transforming routine communications and reporting into high-impact dialogue, you will foster engagement, provoke debate, and lead to better decision-making.

In this session you will learn how to:

Reaching new heights in compliance and risk isn’t just about how you respond when conditions change, it’s also about how well you’ve prepared for the climb ahead. The ability to react with clarity, credibility, and confidence is planned proactively, and critical competencies are developed today to meet tomorrow’s challenges. In an environment defined by rapid change, today’s compliance and risk professionals must be intentional about cultivating the mindset, skillset, and other capabilities needed to navigate what lies ahead.

Attending this conference is an important step in that preparation.  This session focuses on how to continue to build upon that foundation, to help you plan how to grow your career, remain relevant, and lead decisively when it matters most.  We’ll explore practical ways to continue to strengthen your toolkit, expand your perspective, and invest in development for yourself as well as for the teams you lead.  When risk accelerates and expectations shift, preparation is what will set you apart and propel you forward as a successful leader.

In this session, you will learn how to:
